Music Notes Garland
Hey Friends, welcome back!
I have for you another christmas craft that is easy to make and fits well with a neutral and subtle aesthetics that I've chosen this year for my decor.

A few years ago I received a music score book from my father - he's a classic drummer for the Cracow philharmonic and from time to time he'll give me a random old instrument, a violin, a few bows, things of this sort. So before I find the perfect spot for them, I just throw them on the bookshelves with books and stuff.

This year I decided to do a paper garland and I thought that'll be a great occasion to use the notes. I love the old yellow pages- this look fits well with the vintage aestethics that I lean into. But I wanted to do the garland differently - that's why I decided to incorporate motives from my Tree of Life Collection. I chose the love birds.

Now I'll show you how, so you can do it yourself.
Step 1: Prepare your supplies
All you need is:
- music notes ( you can print them from the internet and stain them with tea or coffee, if you want to go for the vintage look ) or simply use some paper.
- tape
- jute twine
- a pencil
- a template that you can download here

Step 2: Cut out your template
Since my music notes are bigger than standard A4 I used a bigger bird, but if you have a standard A4 page, use the small bird since the other one can be a little big for this format.
You can download the template here,
If you downloaded and printed your tamplate, cut it out.
Step 3: Trace the template
Now fold the page with your music notes in half and trace the bird onto it.
Step 4: Cut out your birds
When you have your scetch, cut out the bird on the fold and open it. Voila - your first love birds are ready.
Step 5: Tape the love birds
Only thing left to do is to tape the love birds onto the jute twine and repeat that four times.
I finished ma garland with 5 love birds, and made 2 more just like that. And that's it - very easy and relaxing DIY.

I really love the neutral look of this garland, it's really subtle and fits well within multiple styles, but I choose to style it with fresh cedar and dry hydrangeas for this beautiful natural look.
You can watch the whole process on my YouTube - Music Notes Garland, where I show you exactly how I made this.
Wish you very Merry Christmas, and relaxing preparations full of Happines and Familly moments.
Love, Ana
